Nathan Roberts takes video of moon with Nikon P1000 camera, which can zoom in on the details of the moon, yet he can’t see the shadows in the craters which prove that the moon is illuminated by an external light source, the sun.
He can’t see that the craters on the edge appear oval-shaped instead of round, proving that the moon is a globe and not flat.
Flat-earthers have to proclaim that the moon provides it’s own light, because it the sun illuminates the moon, that proves that the flat-earth model cannot work properly.
The Hebrew verb for “to give light” is 215 ‘owr; which means to be (causative, make) luminous (literally and metaphorically):— break of day, glorious, kindle, (be, en-, give, show) light (-en, -ened), set on fire, shine.
That definition does not proclaim that the moon gives its own light. It says that the light can be a luminous body.
Isaiah 60:1 gives an example of how light shines (‘owr), as we’re called to shine in the glory of Yahuah. “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”
The words “for thy light” is Hebrew noun 216 owr; which means illumination or luminary: bright, clear, day, light morning, sun.
The Hebrew word for “lights” in Genesis 1:16 is 3974 ma’owr; which means, a luminous body or luminary, i.e. (abstractly) light (as an element): figuratively, brightness; specifically, a chandelier:—bright, light.
The KJ3 Literal Translation Bible uses the word “luminary” instead of “light”: “And God made the two great luminaries: the great luminary to rule the day, and the small luminary and the stars to rule the night. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night; and to divide between the light and between the darkness. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:14-15 in the KJ3 Literal Translation Bible uses the word luminary. “And God said, let luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and between the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years. And let them be for luminaries in the expanse of heavens, to give light on the earth. And it was so.”
Scripture is saying that the moon can provide light by being a luminous body which reflects the sun’s light.
