Nathan Roberts, the self-proclaimed Cosmological Evangelist, shares his scientific perspective on how the sun does not illuminate the whole moon. Because the moon and sun are both out at the same time, he thinks that all of the moon should be illuminated.
He ignores the witness of the phases of the moon, that after a new moon, the moon is 1/14th more illuminated every day at sunset, and it’s 1/14th further east in the sky.
Seven days after the new moon, the waxing half-moon is overhead at sunset. Fourteen days after the new moon, the full moon is rising in the east at sunset.
How in the world does Nathan Roberts miss that direct relationship?
