Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted this statement on Facebook:

“Yah, didn’t create the Flat Earth alone…Jesus (John 1:1-3) & Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:2) were there. Deal with it.”

Yah didn’t create the flat earth, period!

Nathan Roberts perverts Scripture to make it try to say that the earth is flat, but he fails to understand the context of the Bible verses that he’s citing.

Here’s an example of what Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine proclaims:

Nathan says that Paths are Straight, not curved, which proves that the earth is flat: 1 Samuel 6:12, Psalm 5:8, Psalm 27:11, Isaiah 40:3, Jeremiah 31:9, Matthew 3:3, Mark 1:3, Luke 3:4, John 1:23, Acts 16:11, Acts 21:1, Hebrews 12:13

Proclaiming that all paths are straight, does not prove that the earth is flat.

The irony is that if you travel East or West on the flat earth map, your path is not straight, as East and West curve around the North Pole.

These verses are obviously not talking about the design of the Earth. And the fact that they are declaring to make the path straight, tells us that paths are normally not straight.

These verses are simply declaring that they walked directly to a destination, without making any side trips along the way.

“And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh.” 1 Samuel 6:12

“Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;” Acts 16:11

“And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:”Acts 21:1

Do we really believe that this verse is telling them to make a straight line in the desert?  It’s foretelling John the Baptist, who preached repentance to the Jews, preparing the way for our Messiah.

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” Isaiah 40:3

It’s sad that Nathan can’t see that these verses are not talking about a literal path, but he cites them to try to push his beliefs.

“They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.” Jeremiah 31:9

“Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” Psalm 5:8

“Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.” Psalm 27:11

“For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” Matthew 3:3

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” Mark 1:3  Really?

“As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.“ Luke 3:4

“He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.” John 1:23

“And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.” Hebrews 12:13

Nathan cites them so that he can claim that there are hundreds of verses which proclaim that the Earth is flat; but he is taking them out of context, as we can clearly see.

Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted this video called ‘WHAT IF “Scientism” admits Flat Earth???’

Nathan is going to talk with David Beverly and Shade Stone, who will share ‘how Scientism may admit that the earth is flat.’

Well that will be a waste of time, because the logical proofs on the Flat Earth Deceptions home page prove that the earth is not flat!

Sadly, flat earthers visit this website and they can’t comprehend the explanations; let alone debunk them.

Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted this video from Barry Scarbrough called ‘A Flat Earth Discussion in LOVE,’ on Facebook.

Nathan Roberts said:

1. He tries to take on Flat Earth solely from a Biblical perceptive, and in that same breathe of saying he’s going to only refer to the scriptures he immediately references NASA astronauts he personally knows who have “seen the sphere” of the earth from outer space.
2. He says he wants to have a discussion, yet, turns comments OFF on his video.

Sorry Barry, try again, this time…only with Scripture and a truly open dialogue.

Barry Scarbrough seems to be a man of integrity, but right away Nathan Roberts condemns him for saying that he spoke to NASA astronauts who have seen the circle of the earth.

That’s because Nathan is such a flat earth zealot, that he can’t even believe the witness of a Pastor, Christian astronauts, etc.  He can’t consider anything that’s contrary to his flat earth beliefs.

Barry only cited a few verses:

Job 26:10 “He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters At the boundary of light and darkness.”

And Proverbs 8:27 “When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:”

Isaiah 40:22 “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:”

Barry focused on saying that it’s not a ‘salvation issue’ to know the shape of the earth.  Many millions of people have come to faith without knowing the shape of the earth.

Can a Scriptural teaching of the geocentric earth help people see that there is a Creator?  Yes!

If Nathan Roberts understood that the globe earth is geocentric, then even more people would come to faith, because the explanation makes more sense.

It lines up with the laws of physics. It lines up with the pictures of earth that we’ve seen.  It lines up with the witness of countless people who work in industries involving the space around the globe.

Interestingly, Nathan Roberts condemns people like me who teach that the earth is a geocentric globe, and says that we’re tools of Satan.

Nathan is making it a salvation issue, by condemning people.  Nathan is creating division between believers.

Nathan says that 2 Samuel 11:11 in Matthew’s Bible says flat earth.

Matthew’s Bible reads, “And Vrias sayd vnto Dauid: the arck and Israel & Iuda dwell in pauilions: & my Lord Ioab and the seruauntes of my Lorde lye in tentes vpon the flat earthe: and shulde I then go into myne house, to eate and to dryncke & to lye wyth my wyfe? By thy lyfe and as sure as thy soule lyueth, I wyll not do that thyng.”

The King James reads, “And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.”

Is the context of the verses about defining the shape of the earth?  No!  It’s simply proclaiming that they encamped in tents in open fields.  The fact that it had to clarify that the area was flat, tells you that all of the land is not flat.

Nathan is clearly taking 2 Samuel 11:11 out of its proper context.

Nathan is perverting Messiah’s words, taking passages out of context.

Read this study to see that the 240 Bible verses that he cites to say that the Bible says Flat Earth, are taken out of context, some of them to a ridiculous level.

Nathan says that the horizon always rises to eye level. 

This is a flat earth fallacy!  Here’s a video from a professional airline pilot who shows the sunset at 45,000 ft confirms that the Horizon drops.

You can see that the downward angle is 3.7 degrees.  If the Theodolite app was pointing up, so that it’s at 0 degrees tilt, then the cross hairs would be pointing to the sky above the horizon, at the red horizontal line.  So the horizon does not rise up to meet our eye!

Read Perspective Proves The Flat Earth Deception

Nathan says that water always seeks to find level.

This is another favorite saying of flat earthers, which is untrue.

Water seeks to move to lower elevations, not to be level.  This is why rivers flow north, east, west and south; as the water move down in elevation.

The lowest level is a lake, or the sea, or the ocean; but again, water is seeking to move to a lower elevation, not to ‘be level’.

This video shows one ship that is moored near the horizon line, and the distant ship behind it which is well below the horizon; proving the curvature of the earth.

Water clearly curves, as ships disappear bottom first, which means that it’s being hidden by the curvature of the earth.

Nathan points to the law of perspective, pointing to things growing smaller as they move away.

But the sun and moon don’t do that.  They stay the same size all the way across the sky, and then drop down below the horizon.  If the earth were flat they would appear to decrease in size, until they disappear as a small ball, above the horizon.

On the flat earth, objects that are moving away would simply grow smaller and disappear at the vanishing point, but they would always stay above the horizon.

But every day we see the Sun rise up from under the horizon, and set down below the horizon.
